Thought I’d drop another reminder that film is not dead yet. While it may not be quick, easy or cheap it is still one of the few zen experiences we, as photographers, can still attain without the introduction of chemicals to our bodies.

So, those who know me also know that I tend to hate just about everything. Tonight, out of boredom and a need to pick up my camera, I decided to write down a list of things that popped into my little brain that I hate. And you know what? It was hard. It’s always harder to make a list of things on demand.

What does a “Fat Tom” look like?

While I was able to borrow some lights – courtesy of Nathan Novak – I thought I would kill some time and play around with them. I decided to go ahead and shoot a self portrait, which I never had attempted before. Nothing crazy, but I can dig it.

1 AlienBee 800 to my left
1 AlienBee 1600 to my right
2 work lights behind me to light the wood.
